Hatfield Immigration opened [by accident] in January 2025.
We operate based off a list of values written in notebook margins circa November 2024, when the notion of a "part-time private practice" first came into existence. It had four non-negiotiables: trust, team, authentic, and courage.
From there, a picture formed of a wholistic legal practice which occupied the space between nonprofit and the private sector. As 2025 progressed and impact of the current adminstration began to hit, a radical idea was added to the mix - your lawyer shouldn't make you feel stupid.
Sometimes crazy works. We've evolved and tweaked into six non negotiables: trust, partnership, equity, courage, and authenticity. Radical ideas turned into radical legal practice, which turned into community, somehow turned national.
We're now strangely honored to confirm that we are home to the "lawyer who yells but good,"
And yes, you can schedule a video consultation with her, even if you're detained in Texas. No, she won't be traveling to Texas.
