INFORMATION FOR THOSE WITH LOVED ONES CURRENTLY IN ICE CUSTODY
To determine the date of your next appearance in front of the court,
Due to the mass increase in immigration arrests, processing of those taken into custody is taking longer than usual. If you do not know where your loved one is currently being held, you can search for them via the ICE "Online Detainee Locator System," found here: https://locator.ice.gov/odls/#/search
You will need the individual's country of birth and either
1) a full name and date of birth, or
2) an alien number
to locate them via this link.
Communication With Individuals in ICE Custody
Individuals must have funds in their commissary account to make calls out of ICE facilities. The process to add funds to a commissary account differs between facilities.
Outside communication can be incredibly difficult in certain facilities. When you are able to speak to your loved one, the most important information to collect/confirm is their nine digit alien number ("A number,") especially if they did not previously have one issued to them.
Court Dates
To ensure you and your loved one are aware of all upcoming court dates, their alien number and country of nationality can be entered here: https://acis.eoir.justice.gov/en/
