LEGAL CONSULTATIONS FOR INDIVIDUALS CURRENTLY IN ICE CUSTODY

Detained Consultation Fee
The fee for a detained consultation without an interpreter, or if you are able to provide an interpreter that will be available by phone during our consultation is $450.00.
The consultation fee must be paid before the consultation takes place.
Important Note
Please ask your loved one to bring ALL paperwork provided since they were taken into ICE Custody with them to our consultation so that we can review all documents to ensure we are aware of all potential factors.
Legal Consultation Process/What to Expect
The purpose of each consultation is to collect information, provide all potential legal options, answer any questions, and provide an exact price point as to legal fees for a case. Most importantly, it allows the opportunity for your detained loved one to meet me and ensure they are confident Hatfield Immigration is the best choice for legal representation in their removal case.
All consultations at Batavia Federal Detention Facility take place in-person at the facility and are conducted by Kelsey Hatfield, Esq.
During every consultation, it's ensured that a release for a "Designated Non-Detained Contact" is signed by the detained individual so we can communicate with a loved one (or loved ones) about what was discussed, legal options, legal fees, and the case in general. After each consultation, an throughout explanation will be provided via email to the Designated Non-Detained Contact(s) to ensure clear understanding.
A legal consultation is required before any new case is retained.
Interpreters
If your loved one does not speak English, we highly encourage a trusted family member, friend, or community member to be available via phone during our consultation to interpret for us. This helps add an important sense of comfort and safety and avoids the very expensive cost of hiring a private interpreter.
If your loved one does require a private interpreter, you must schedule this before the consultation. You can do this by choosing the "Schedule a Private Interpreter" selection on our booking page. The cost for a private interpreter is $150.00
