In December 2025, when the ludicrous idea to start a solo practice on the brink of complete upheaval first came to be, a list of core values seemed as good a place as any to start.
That list of ideas, sloppy written in the margins of a notebook, somehow led to purchasing a website domain name. Watching the cursor blink in a blank email sent from your own website snowballed, and in the blink of an eye bank accounts were opened, malpractice insurance in effect, software installed, payment systems/ bookkeeping attempted, and an accountant very quickly secured.
Those scribbled values continue to be the cornerstone of Hatfield Immigration, alongside some important additions picked up along the way. We are and will always remain committed to these in all aspects of practice.

Flat Fees
All cases are priced at a flat fee, meaning before any retainer agreement is signed, the client knows the total cost of all legal fees and the scope of legal representation provided. We are incredibly conscientious of cost, and aim to keep fees as low as possible. In the current climate, this sometimes means separating a case into two or even three separate "cases" to ensure no clients end up overpaying for their case. As ICE detentions skyrocket and new policies limit legal options, the timeline to prepare a case can change from years to a matter of weeks, and more research, writing, and argument is required. Unfortunately, this also means unexpected legal costs can pop up because the representation necessary exceeds the scope of a retainer agreement. We understand this, and discussion as to payment structure, timeline, and installments is always available. We will always be honest and as transparent as possible when discussing legal fees and payment expectations, and expect the same in return.
